Laurie Geise-Wilkinson, Designer
With an early interest in design and construction, Laurie began her career working for a small firm representing Wood-Mode cabinetry. Her responsibilities included initiating new dealers in Virginia, designing showroom displays, instructing sales staff on products and ordering, and warranty claims. While there, Laurie studied Interior Design at Mount Vernon College. Her studies led her to a small boutique firm headed by two architects in Old Town Alexandria. She gained an appreciation for proportion, scale, historic preservation and the accurate reproduction of classic period design details. Incorporating these skills and experience, Laurie became a principal in the firm and eventually formed her own design company in 2000.
Laurie's work has been featured in fine homes throughout the DC Metro area, the Eastern Shore of Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania as well as California. Laurie was one of the early kitchen designers featured on HGTV.
